Meet Mount Kilimanjaro Climbers

Eric Hill

Eric Hill is a co-founder and executive with BioRx, a specialized pharmacy company which provides drugs and clinical services to consumers living with bleeding disorders throughout the United States. Eric enjoys a variety of adventure sports including backpacking and trekking. Along with Jeff Salantai, who is also making this climb, Eric has successfully summited Mt. Rainier, Mt. Massive and Mt. Elbert-all mountains over 14,000 feet and located in the continental US. Additionally Eric summited 19,000+ ft. Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa along with his older son Alex during a fundraiser for Save One Life in 2011. Eric, who is also a member of Save One Life's board of directors, will be climbing Pico Duarte with his younger son Andrew and hopes to raise a significant amount of money for Save One Life's camp programs.

Andrew_Hill

Andrew Hill is 12 years old and a 6th grader at Ferndale Middle School in High Point, NC. While Andrew has quite a bit of experience hiking and backpacking in the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia, this will be his first climb above 10,000 feet in a different country.

Jeff_Salantai

Jeff Salantai is a 32 year old living with severe hemophilia. He is an employee of BioRx specialty pharmacy and supporter of Save One Life. Along with Eric Hill, he has climbed four peaks over 14,000 ft. including Mt. Elbert, Mt. Massive, Mt. Rainier, and Mt. Kilimanjaro, the latter being a fundraiser for Save One Life. Jeff also enjoys cycling, swimming, backpacking and hiking, all of which help to keep his joints and muscles in peak shape. He is looking forward to helping Save One Life again this year by climbing Pico Duarte in the Dominican Republic and raising funds for hemophilia camps around the world.

Kathryn_Lampert

Kathryn Lampert is a 29-year-old nutritionist in Austin, TX. She is the girlfriend of Jeff Salantai, from whom she has learned much about hemophilia and Save One Life. She currently sponsors a Save One Life beneficiary in India. Her passion is long distance running. Kathryn completed the Livestrong Marathon in 2011, a 26 mile race supporting 26 charities. This year's trip to the Dominican Republic and Pico Duarte will be her first climbing experience; she is extremely excited to be part of this opportunity.
