Nepal and Everest have a special connection with Save One Life. In 2017, executive director Chris Bombardier became the first person with hemophilia to summit Mt. Everest. His journey and interaction with the hemophilia community was documented in the Bombardier Blood.
Returning to Nepal and trekking to Everest Base Camp on the sixth anniversary of his summit with supporters of Save One Life will not only further the mission of Save One Life through funds raised but also highlight the Nepalese bleeding disorder community.

For those who want to travel to Nepal but cannot participate in the trek to basecamp, a scenic flight around Mt. Everest will be arranged. This flight circles the mountain and provides exceptional views. After completing the flight, the trip will continue to the Chitwan National Park where participants will have the chance to see elephants, rhinos and tigers!
April 14- May 1, 2023
Unlike most treks, you will experience two nights at basecamp and have the opportunity to venture to the base of the Khumbu Icefall.
Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport.
Day 2: Visit the Nepal Hemophilia Society (NHS) offices and the treatment center in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Travel to the homes of Save One Life beneficiaries around Kathmandu.
Day 4: Tour the Monkey Temple and Royal Palace. Attend a screening of Bombardier Blood at a local theater with NHS members.
Day 5: Depart for Base Camp. After a short flight to Lukla, you will begin nine days of trekking to base camp.
Day 6 - Day 12: Trekking to Base Camp
Day 13: Reach Everest Base Camp, 17,500 feet. Sleep in Everest Base Camp.
Day 14: Experience Everest Base Camp. Walk over and see the base of the Khumbu Icefall. Sleep in Everest Base Camp.
Day 17: Arrive back in Lukla.
Day 18: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. Last evening in Kathmandu.
Day 19: Return flight home.
