Heather began her career working with children and families in crisis in both the residential and specialized foster care environments. After getting married and starting a family, Heather spent several years at home caring for her young children. When her daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of two, much of her time became devoted to her daughter’s health and advocating for her needs. Having a child with a life threatening health condition, Heather has a passion to support families struggling with the double burden of poverty and living with a bleeding disorder. Heather began on a temporary basis with Save One Life in 2015, and joined the staff in 2017.
Heather earned her bachelor’s degrees in social work and psychology from Gordon College. She lives in Lynnfield, MA with her husband and three children.
