My Story

This is Yinka. He is 18 years old and he has severe hemophilia A. He was in 12th grade in 2019 and his absences due to bleeding episodes made it difficult to excel in school. His favorite subject was commerce.  Yinka bleeds have been in his knee. His knee has been impaired by bleeding. He would benefit from physiotherapy, but his family does not have the funds to support it. He lives near the hospital. It takes 10 minutes to get there by bike. 

Yinka lives with his parents, his brother and sister, and his cousin. His mother and his cousin also have bleeding disorders. His father is a welder. His mother is a trader and a teacher. They live in a town. They own their house. It has two rooms and a sitting room. They cook meals in a shared kitchen. Their home has electricity. They get water from the village well. Their home is still under construction.
