Celebrating Laurie's Legacy: A Transformational Investment in the Future
As Save One Life celebrates its 25th Anniversary, we are honored to recognize an extraordinary act of generosity from our founder, Laurie Kelley.
Laurie has made a transformational investment of $100,000 to support Save One Life's mission and ensure that children and families living with bleeding disorders continue to receive the care, support, and hope they deserve.
For 25 years, Laurie has literally saved lives and has been a driving force in improving the lives of people with bleeding disorders around the world. Through Save One Life and Project SHARE, her vision has provided far more than financial assistance. She has empowered local leaders, strengthened national organizations, expanded access to treatment, and helped families build brighter futures. Her impact extends across generations.
That impact was especially evident at the World Federation of Hemophilia Congress this past April, where Save One Life celebrated its 25th Anniversary alongside representatives from 11 of the 14 countries we support. Throughout the celebration, story after story reflected Laurie's influence, not only through the assistance she provided, but through her mentorship, advocacy, and unwavering belief in helping communities become stronger and more self-sufficient. Watching them express their gratitude, it was clear that Laurie is more than a founder, she is a hero to so many. The admiration and love in that room were a powerful reminder that her legacy is measured not only in the programs she created, but in the countless lives she has forever changed.
Laurie's latest gift is both an investment in our future and a reaffirmation of the mission she began 25 years ago: that every person living with a bleeding disorder, regardless of where they are born, deserves access to lifesaving care and the opportunity to thrive.
This transformational investment will strengthen Save One Life's ability to provide direct assistance, expand educational opportunities, support local bleeding disorders organizations, and respond to the evolving needs of families around the world. Just as importantly, it serves as an inspiration to others who believe in building a healthier, more equitable future.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, partners, and the thousands of families whose lives have been touched by Laurie and Save One Life, we extend our deepest gratitude to Laurie Kelley.
Thank you, Laurie, for your extraordinary generosity, your visionary leadership, and your unwavering belief that one person truly can change the world. Your legacy continues to grow, and because of you, countless lives will be changed for generations to come.
