Welcoming Michelle Borjorges as a Save One Life Ambassador!
We’re excited to welcome Michelle Bojorges as a new Save One Life Ambassador! With a lifelong connection to the bleeding disorders community and a passion for supporting Hispanic families, Michelle brings years of experience, advocacy, and personal perspective to her new role.
Michelle Bojorges' understanding of the global inequities of care for people with bleeding disorders stem from her brother’s journey with hemophilia in Mexico thirty years ago. She was painfully aware of her mother’s fear that the treatment options at that time would lead to chronic pain, disability, or worse.
Determined to pursue a better outcome for him, Michelle’s family moved to the United States, connected with their local chapter, and became deeply involved. Michelle remembers volunteering as early as elementary school. As she got older, she became involved in chapter programming for new families and siblings, as well as supporting camp programs.
Over time, Michelle discovered a particular passion for empowering Hispanic families. She encouraged them to learn as much as they could, ask questions, and advocate for the care their loved ones deserve.
Along the way, Michelle met Cindy Komar and was inspired by her work ethic, positive attitude, and visionary leadership. Michelle stated she is thrilled to work with Cindy on a global level and plans to carry forward the lessons she learned from Cindy and her mother. For Michelle, the pathway to improve the lives of the global families living with bleeding disorders is clear. Show up for them and remind them they are not alone; spread awareness of Save One Life, inform others how they can help, and above all else, never give up.
The Save One Life Ambassador Program is made possible by a grant from Sanofi.
