Tim Stowers's Channel Swim for Save One Life!

Tim Stowers from California is taking on the Catalina to Mainland route, a roughly 20-mile open water swim to raise awareness for bleeding disorders and fundraise for Save One Life.

Tim is a person living with Severe Hemophilia A and has always had a passion for swimming. He started competitive swimming at a young age, but stepped away from the sport at the end of high school due to a deteriorating elbow joint. After nearly 20 years away, Tim returned to swimming for conditioning, which quickly led to completing his first channel swim. He became possibly the first known person with hemophilia to complete an unassisted solo channel swim, reaching an elite level in the sport he once gave up.

Through this next challenge, Tim hopes to inspire others with bleeding disorders and their caregivers by showing what is possible with access to care, support, and determination.
